This online course provides an overview of the most important health challenges facing the world today.

It discusses topics such as:

• How to define and measure Global Health
• Infectious diseases
• Non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes) and injuries
• Maternal and child health
• Global crises impacting health, such as environmental problems and migration
• The role of nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene
• The role of health systems and policy

Students will gain insight into how challenges have changed over time, discuss the likely determinants of such changes and examine future projections.
