This online course explores "how the Earth works".
It explains the five key components of the climate system and their interaction. This includes the biosphere (life), hydrosphere (oceans), atmosphere (weather), lithosphere (solid Earth), and cryosphere (ice).
In the final section of the course, participants can further explore these ideas through climate modeling available on a free website. In addition, there is a free text book available (written by former MOOC students).
