This online course (MOOC) explores various learning techniques used by experts in art, music, literature, math, science, sports, and many other disciplines.

It teaches how the brain uses two very different learning modes and how it encapsulates (“chunks”) information. It also covers illusions of learning, memory techniques, dealing with procrastination, and best practices to master tough subjects.

The course is one of the most popular MOOCs, with more than 3 million students from 200 countries. It was originally based on the book "A Mind for Numbers" by course instructor Barbara Oakley.
