The concept of Theology came from Greek and meant "teaching of God / the gods". Theology is a church discipline and thus is bound up with denominations. Thus, there is, for example, Catholic, Protestant, or Islamic Theology.
On the other hand, Religious Sciences are faith-neutral. Religions and movements are analysed and interpreted from an outside perspective. Both concepts are thus closely linked to each other.
