Introduction to Management Information Systems (MIS): A Survival Guide

This is a good introductory course to Enterprise Resource Planning / ERP systems for beginners. What I like: - Its free :) - Easy explanations with examples - Short questions and tests between videos make you really think about it before you proceed - The best feature of the course is that you can actually explore a real ERP system (the open source Oddo system) in week 4. This was really interesting and helpful to get a first hand impression of an ERP system I think. What I dont like: - Its a good overview course. But I personally think it could have some more in depth problems or discussions (maybe as additional optional content?) - It should include a comparison of the top ERP systems in the market. It just mentions these systems and there is some material included in the reading list, but the course really should have a section that exmplains the differences between SAP, Dynamics/Navision, Oracle (maybe this could include the industries or company size which are more likely to use these various systems or something like that) - Sometimes the instructor is slightly hard to understand (its ok and there are subtitles, but you really have to focus sometimes). But overall ok and he is very enthusiastic instructor and knows what he is talking about. - Forums could be more active (but then again, I was not active myself)
