This online course program gives an introduction to macroeconomics. It explores long-term economic growth in developed and developing economies as well as short-term cycles in activity (recessions and recoveries) around the long-term growth trend. Starting with basic macroeconomic performance indicators such as GDP, the program then also analyzes macroeconomic policy issues and the international context including trade and exchange rates.
