This online course teaches the key concepts of corporate finance.
The course shows important methods and rules and how these can be applied to value investment opportunities, including stocks and bonds. Concepts include the time value of money, cost of capital and capital budgeting. Students will be using Excel e.g. to compute net present values (NPV) and internal rates of return (IRR).
The online course is based on an introductory finance course that is required for all first-year MBA students at Columbia Business School.
