Other Natural Sciences– Interdisciplinary Learning
The term natural sciences refers to scientific disciplines that study nature via observations, measurements, and analyses. These subject areas aim to explain a great number of natural phenomena. In fact, the theoretical basis for many other subject areas is derived from natural sciences.
Subjects which fall under natural sciences include Biology, Chemistry, as well as Physics and Astronomy (each has a separate category in our directory!). But there are also many other subject areas like Geosciences (including Geology and Geography), Agricultural Sciences or Environmental Sciences. The online courses in these "other" natural sciences can be found here.
The focus of research in Environmental Sciences are the environment and the effects of human activity. It is further divided into many other sub-divisions on which there are relevant online courses: Geology, Ecology, Soil Science, Climatology and some others. Environmental protection is especially growing in importance. So, our e-learning directory contains various high-quality video courses and MOOCs (massive open online courses) on the Environment, Climate Change, and Climate Protection.
Individual video courses in other sciences can also be found like, for example, Geography which is explicitly concerned with the surface of the Earth. The objects of research here are both its physical creation and its function in human life and activity.
Individual learning videos in Agriculture are also available in our e-learning directory. It deals in general with the production of plant and animal products.
