This online course teaches about the myths of ancient Greece and Rome, as a way of exploring the nature of myth and the function it plays for individuals, societies, and nations.
The course covers topics such as the definition of "myths", the nature of "heroes", the relation between gods and humans, religion and justice in myths. It includes works of Homer, Virgil and Ovid (among others).
